PITLOCHRY ANGLING CLUB

Club History

Pitlochry Angling Club was founded in 1884. Its activities originally centred on competitions, and the Club had no waters of its own. However, over the past 40 years, it has acquired fishing rights on various trout and salmon waters in the Pitlochry area through purchase and lease. The Club is now well-known and respected in the Scottish angling scene, and several Club members have fished for Scotland in the Scottish Fly-Fishing Team. The Club has also built its own hatchery and rearing facilities for trout, enabling stocking of waters to be carried out with trout of local origin.
